Legal troubles continue for Thomas Partey, who pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape during his court appearance at the Southwark Crown Court in London.
These two specific cases will be heard alongside 5 other rape charges against him, as well as a sexual assault charge, for which the Villarreal midfielder has already pleaded not guilty in a previous appearance before the same court.
Due to these legal proceedings, the Ghanaian midfielder was absent from the Villarreal squad on Easter Sunday (12/4) during their visit to "San Mamés" for the match against Athletic Bilbao.
It is worth noting that the trial was initially scheduled for November 2026, but it now appears that it will be postponed to February 2027.
