Μουντιάλ 2026: Επιβεβαίωσε για Δώνη και Σαουδική Αραβία ο Ρομάνο

While Greece will not be participating in the upcoming World Cup to be held in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, one Greek will be there, with Fabrizio Romano confirming reports regarding Georgios Donis and the Saudi Arabia national team.

"Al-Khaleej's coach will lead Saudi Arabia to the 2026 World Cup, the official announcement will come when the contract is signed, the agreement has been finalized with the country's Federation," stated the famous journalist, making Donis the first Greek coach to go to a World Cup at the helm of a foreign team.

The 56-year-old coach has been working in the Arab country since 2021 and had also been there between 2015 and 2016, having had two stints at Al Wehda and one each at Al Khaleej, Al Fateh, and Al Hilal.
