From the moment ticket sales for the Final Four in Athens began, there has been a literal frenzy, as demand from fans of Olympiacos and Panathinaikos is enormous and can by no means be met 100%.
Especially since the "Greens" not only broke even with Valencia, but managed to be only one win away from securing their participation in the final phase of the tournament.
Something which, as one can easily understand, creates conditions of... profiteering through various ticket resale sites for sporting events and beyond.
So, from Tuesday night, after Panathinaikos' first victory in Spain, there was an increase in already elevated prices, which skyrocketed as soon as the 0-2 happened on Thursday midnight.
It is characteristic that on the most well-known ticket resale site, the cheapest ticket package for both days starts from 2,329 euros and goes up to 11,403 for VIP.
To understand the difference, a ticket that someone bought for the lower side section for 770 euros is now selling for 3,457.
