EuroLeague Basketball has imposed fines on teams that exceeded the Salary Cap for the current season.
Specifically, Panathinaikos is required to pay the highest fine, amounting to €3,065,691 for exceeding the Salary Cap, followed by Anadolu Efes with €1,071,676, Hapoel Tel Aviv with €998,027, and Olympiacos with €303,290.
The total compensation for exceeding the basic salary level, which amounts to €5,438,684, will be distributed equally among the 15 teams that adhere to the prescribed limits, resulting in each club receiving €362,579.
It is also noted that the compensation paid by the four aforementioned teams is part of the established and applicable competitive balance rules, which had already been announced in 2024.
