Bartzokas: "If I lose to a depleted Monaco here, they should hang me in the center of Piraeus."

Μπαρτζώκας: «Εδώ αν χάσω από την ελλιπή Μονακό πρέπει να με απαγχονίσουν στο κέντρο του Πειραιά»

Olympiacos knocked out Monaco 94-64 at a packed SEF and made it 2-0 in the series.

Giorgos Bartzokas spoke at the press conference after Olympiacos' victory against the Monegasques and highlighted the Greek mentality.

In detail:

"We thank the people and our fans. The second game is always harder than the first, and we were unique defensively and offensively in the 2nd and 4th quarters. On the other hand, we have to admit that Monaco lost Mike James and Donatas Motiejūnas in the game and it was difficult for them to keep up with an even smaller roster, when we used 12 players today."

"Of course, it needs attention. There's no easy playoff game. We show completeness and readiness, even if the performance level isn't always the same. I won't give an example. Let's win the next match. We don't have three chances for one. Let's focus seriously on the game in Monte Carlo to go to the Final Four."

Regarding the atmosphere: "I don't particularly care about that. I particularly love coach Mendilibar. It's a joy for all of us who come."

"I read an analysis that it doesn't benefit Olympiacos to go 3-0. So, should we go and lose? I read the headlines. I can't get into that reasoning. Our job is to win. If we get into not coming out first, not winning 3-0. Whatever comes, we will face it."

"We had amazing ball movement and patience. With me here, all times... we struggle to get there because these are the top teams. The alibi in defeat is very important. Here, if you lose to an understaffed Monaco, I should be hanged in the center of Piraeus. Easy is very relative for a coach who has the responsibility."
