The countdown has begun. Panathinaikos will fight the big battle in the playoffs and Game 5 against Valencia (22:00), and the winner of the match will secure a ticket to the Final Four in Athens.
Marca reports that sources from the Valencia basketball team confirmed that Dimitris Giannakopoulos will not be allowed access to the Roig Arena, as the article states he must serve the third game of his ban from Euroleague arenas, which was imposed as part of his punishment for unsportsmanlike conduct.
"Staff working at the entrances to the Roig Arena, especially those at the VIP entrance, at the access doors to the VIP box or in the VIP area, will increase surveillance to prevent Dimitris Giannakopoulos from entering the stadium should he attempt to enter the premises despite the sanction," the report states.
On Tuesday morning, Giannakopoulos showed his confidence in the team's players with an Instagram story, posting photos of the roster and writing: "Is there anyone who believes these guys will allow themselves to watch the Final Four on TV?".
The fine if he appears at the arena
Marca emphasizes in its report that if the administrative leader of the Greens appeared at the Roig Arena and the Euroleague detected his presence, he would be subject to an additional fine between 30,000 and 280,000 euros, as stipulated in Article 23 of the disciplinary code, which sets out the penalty in case of non-compliance with sanctions.
