Olympiacos is at the top of the standings after their win against Villeurbanne, with Donte Hall delivering a strong performance, scoring 14 points, six rebounds, and two assists.
Speaking about the game, Hall said: "We knew it was going to be a tough game here. We had to play our basketball, we can do better defensively, we knew how athletic and good a team Villeurbanne is and that they fight until the end in every game. We got a lot of offensive rebounds and that was a significant extra for us. They helped us have more possessions and find scores.
I know my role and my job. That's what my parents, whom I have lost, taught me to do, and I am always mentally ready. I try to do what the coach asks of me and help my teammates however I can. We have three important games ahead of us. We need to be focused, play as a team, united and with consistency."
Hall was asked to comment on the fact that no team finishing first in the new EuroLeague format has won the title and said: "I know about the curse of the first place, it doesn't scare me. We have to believe in each other, play Olympiacos basketball and finish as high as we can."
