Football... bloody hell!
The match got into a frantic pace from the start and goals rained down until halftime, which ended with a satisfying 3-2 lead for the Parisians.
The two teams played at speed, with the first goal essentially opening Pandora's box.
Specifically in the 16th minute, Luis Diaz won a penalty from Patso, with Kane converting from the spot for 1-0.
Moments later, Olise came close to making it 2-0, but Marquinhos cleared the ball before it crossed the line and gave PSG the chance to equalize.
After Dembele missed a unique one-on-one in the 23rd minute, seconds later Kvaratskhelia moved wonderfully inside the box and with a tremendous shot into the corner, equalized at 1-1.
The ball went back and forth and both teams constantly found space to threaten, with Bayern hitting the post in the 33rd minute from an Olise cross into the box.
The 2-1, however, belonged to the Parisians. Shortly after an inaccurate shot by Doué that went inches wide of the post, João Neves headed in from a corner and spectacularly turned the game around in the 34th minute.
PSG constantly found gaps with lightning-fast counterattacks, threatened again in the 37th minute with a low shot from Doué, but Bayern replied to make it 2-2. In the 41st minute, the active Olise found space outside the area and with a powerful shot from its height, he beat Safonov, who did not have the best reaction. After a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty for a handball by Davies, with Dembele converting from the spot for 3-
Steel Bayern, PSG the winner
And if anyone thought the two would slow down in the second half, they were terribly wrong!
In just the 56th minute, the ball reappeared in Bayern's net when Hakimi crossed into the area for Kvaratskhelia, who finished unimpeded into Neuer's goal.
With their momentum, the hosts struck again 2 minutes later, with Dembele scoring again, leaving Neuer statuesque with a low shot into the corner for 5-2.
It seemed then that the scales had definitively tipped in favor of Luis Enrique's team, but Bayern had not thrown in the towel.
In the 65th minute, Upamecano reduced the score to 5-3 with a header from close range from a Kimmich free-kick, and 3 minutes later, the Bavarians again cut the deficit to one goal.
Harry Kane made an excellent deep pass to Luis Diaz, who controlled the ball perfectly in the box and beat Safonov to make it 5-4.
At that point, the pace returned to normal levels, but drama prevailed until the end.
In the 87th minute, Mayulu came close to making it 6-4, hitting the post with a powerful shot, while in the last phase of the match, PSG's defense cleared Kimmich's high header before the line to prevent a 5-5 draw.
