The English striker scored in the 38th minute of the match for the 2-2, and thus became the first player in the history of the competition to have been involved in 5 goals (3 goals and 2 assists) in his last 5 appearances against the Madrid side in the Champions League.
Beyond this particularly honorable achievement, the 32-year-old forward, who reached 50 goals this season in all competitions, became the first English player to score 12 goals in one season of the competition, breaking his own record of 11, which he had achieved in the 2024-2025 season.
At the same time, he became only the second English player in the history of the competition to manage to score in 5 consecutive games, after Steven Gerrard.
