Rogavopoulos: His response to Montero about Panathinaikos' series with Valencia

Ρογκαβόπουλος: Η απάντησή του στον Μοντέρο για τη σειρά του Παναθηναϊκού με τη Βαλένθια

Panathinaikos easily defeated Mykonos in the last match of the regular season with a score of 97-76, getting in good practice ahead of their trip to Spain for the first two games against Valencia in the Euroleague playoffs.

However, these statements followed those of Jean Montero, who was named the EuroLeague rising star and a member of this season's All-EuroLeague First Team, who spoke about the upcoming series. He notably declared: "We can beat them not just five times, but... 6, 7 or 8! Anyone can beat anyone in the EuroLeague."

Nikos Rogavopoulos commented on these statements. He finished the game with 15 points (3/4 two-pointers, 3/3 three-pointers) and 7 rebounds, maintaining excellent form.

He specifically said: "The opposing team is confident they will advance. We will see about that. There is motivation, and the pride of top-class players is also at stake."

He continued: "We don't have the home-court advantage, that's the situation. We would have a big advantage, but we've seen that home court doesn't always play a role. We will do everything to qualify for the Final Four. There is faith in the team. Generally, our performance has improved significantly since Lessort's return, as has Hayes-Davis's entry. We are getting better and better now. The year has its ups and downs; it requires persistence and effort."
