The goal for Panathinaikos was to have a comfortable afternoon in their last regular season game in the Stoiximan GBL and they did so against Mykonos, especially since the crucial matches with Valencia are coming up.
Without pushing the pace and resting players such as Sloukas, Farid, Juancho, Osman (note: outside the Greek championship's eight-man roster) and Nunn from the second quarter onwards, Ataman distributed playing time to all other players.
Mitoglou (16 pts) and Rogavopoulos (15 pts) were the ones who stood out a little more than the rest, maintaining a lead of 20+ points for most of the game.
- WON BECAUSE… the difference in strength was so great that Panathinaikos didn't even need to... push hard. From the moment Appleby was injured, Mykonos couldn't be competitive even in the slightest.
- THE DIFFERENCE WAS MADE BY… Nikos Rogavopoulos (15 pts, 3/3 3-pointers, 7 rebounds) who was once again in excellent form.
- WORTHY SUPPORTERS WERE… Dinos Mitoglou (16 pts, 5 rebounds) and Marius Grigonis (12 pts)
- COULD HAVE DONE BETTER… Justin Briggs who remained at "zero" with 0/6 shooting.
- DEFEATED BUT... Khalid Moore had 20 points with 8/13 field goals and 9 rebounds.
Quarter scores: 25-18, 50-35, 69-53, 97-76.
