The Panathinaikos had no trouble securing a win at Ano Meras' indoor arena with a score of 90-76 and simultaneously locked in their semi-final berth with a 2-0 series victory.
Following the conclusion of the game, Ergin Ataman turned his focus to the semi-finals and the series against PAOK, while in his post-game press conference he heaped praise on the Mykonos team.
“We wrapped up the series with a 2-0 sweep, and that makes perfect sense because there is a clear gap between the two teams. I want to congratulate the Mykonos squad, as in their first season in the top division they showed incredible character and finished in seventh place. And they faced us in the Playoffs,” he began before continuing:
“Everyone knows that Mykonos is a world-famous tourist destination, but they have now proven that there is a professional sports team there that plays at a very high level.”
