Olympiacos - PAOK 1-1: And now... for 2nd place!

Ολυμπιακός - ΠΑΟΚ 1-1: Και τώρα... η 2η θέση!

Another derby in Faliro between Olympiacos and PAOK ended in a draw. Olympiacos was better for a large part of the match, took the lead but conceded an equalizer, making it 1-1, which turned out to be the final score. At the same time, AEK won and became Champions.

MVP: We'll give it to Pavlenka for his saves in this match. He kept PAOK scoreless in the first 45 minutes.

UP TO THE TASK: Besides the two goalscorers of the teams (Rodinei and Konstantelias) for their goals, Esse is included here for his immense effort and assist, and Taison who persistently created the situation for the 1-1 equalizer.

WEAK LINK: For Olympiacos in terms of their attack in this match, it's El Kaabi with his missed chances. For PAOK, it's their initial midfield-attack line plus Baba.

THE BLUNDER: It's the 1-0 phase. Baba loses track of Rodinei who then scores for his team amidst wild celebrations. Costinha's mistake for the 1-1 goal is also a blunder.

THE REFEREE: There were complaints from both teams (their players) about the Spanish referee, Martinez. Olympiacos players asked for offside in the 1-1 phase, which was upheld as a decision, while there was also a VAR review for a red card for Baba, which was not given.

PAOK protested the phase where a penalty was not awarded (claiming Retsos' handball). The referee had some issues with cards and fouls.

In football, the best team doesn't always win. Although Olympiacos was superior for most of the match, they couldn't secure the win, settling for a 1-1 draw with PAOK, who, however, showed their reaction to some extent.
